Matchlock Musket
A rare large bore Matchlock Musket with heavy iron octagonal barrel and flaired muzzle. Engraved tang (a/f) with date 1603 . The heavy walnut stock profusely inlaid with ivory (light worm damage) . Ivory thimbles, end cap and ivory tipped ramrod. Snap lock in working order. Rear of barrel fitted large apeture sight. Complete with its iron rest on later wooden pole. The musket is in very good condition considering its great age.

A six bore brass barrelled Blunderbuss [16 inch barrel] with LONDON proof marks to breech. Early land pattern side plate and raised apron to tang. The lock maker "TOWER" to tail and Crown over "GR". Possible faint Ordinance acceptance mark. Good walnut hand rail stock with brass furniture and replacement ramrod.

Snider Rifle



A very good Snider breech loading .577 Enfield rifle with very good three-groove rifling and bore; government proofs and acceptance marks; 1860 L.A.Co. and Crown and V.R. lock. The walnut stock has very few dings and has excellent chequering to hand and forestock. Crisp lock and action L.A.Co. marked rear sight; some minor external pitting to barrel and bands. A good crisp rifle for the shooter or collector.

Percussion Canadian target rifle
A fine percussion off-hand 72 bore Canadian target rifle by B. Mills, with heavy part-hexagonal part-round barrel; globe fore sight and adjustable tang-sight. The tang, breech and lock engraved with foliage and landscape scene; the rifle retains virtually all its faded original finish. Walnut stock with off-hand style butt-plate, some slight damage to left-hand side of butt and trigger guard. Dimensions: Barrel length – 28 inches; L.O.P – 13¼ inches.

Short Land Pattern Volunteer Brown Bess
A short land pattern [42 inch barrel] Volunteer Brown Bess Musket. Private proof marks to breech, top of barrel marked London, lock engraved Clark. Butt plate marked "NY" over "87" and cheek of butt stamped "13". Side plate also stamped "13". All in very good condition, some damage to fore part of stock. Complete with sling swivel and iron ramrod and associated socket bayonet marked "HILL".

A good India Pattern [39 inch] volunteer Brown Bess Musket with private proof marks to breech. Lock with "TOWER" to tail and "Crown". Earlier style mouse shaped escutcheon. Very good walnut stock with minor worm damage, sling swivels and iron ram rod. Complete with socket bayonet by Ketland & Allport 1804-19. Marks include: Crown over "6"; "K&A"; "R.J"; "7"; "49"; "K63"; "2".

39 inch Brown Bess Musket, Grice
A 39 inch Brown Bess Musket having stock and furniture matching the India Pattern but with four ramrod thimbles. The lightly curved lock marked "GRICE 1759" to tail with "Crown" over "GR" and Ordnance acceptance mark. Breech with LONDON proof marks and number "3" to tang. Barrel marked "RIVIERE LONDON". Complete with sling swivels and iron ram rod. This unusual musket is in very good condition, a real "sleeper". With socket bayonet.

Calisher and Terry Rifle
A very good 30 bore Terry's patent short rifle by Calisher & Terry. The 33 inch sighted barrel rifled with six grooves (equal width to lands) making approximately one turn in length of barrel. Birmingham proof marks to breech. Ladder rear sight graduated up to 1200 yards. The very good walnut stock up to 5 ³⁄₄ inch from the muzzle with one barrel band, old repair to crack hand. Lock marked "Calisher & Terry 1868". Sling swivels and iron ramrod.
